ASEAN digital ministers in Singapore to discuss scams, AI governance, cybersecurity – The Business Times

Singapore is hosting the 4th ASEAN Digital Ministerial Meeting on 30 January – 1 February 2024, and a Meeting of ASEAN Digital Senior Officials with the EU was on 31 January 2024. On this occasion, the implementation guide to ASEAN Model Contractual Clauses and EU Standard Contractual Clauses was launched (a first guide on that topic was released in May 2023). Eurocham and in particular members of the Digital Economy Committee were consulted on the draft. The participants will also explore options for collaboration on artificial intelligence, following the expected release of the ASEAN Guide on AI Governance and Ethics. This would extend the on-going work benchmarking Singapore AI verify framework against the requirements of the EU’s AI Act.
