The SwissCham event series in the New Year will kick off once again with the traditional Economic Outlook event. Starting in 2017, but likely more pronounced in 2018, we are beginning to witness major trend changes. One is that after almost a decade of monetary easing by central banks, the tide is turning and most of them are looking to bring policies back to normal levels. This has an impact on growth as well as on interest rates and, therefore, currencies as well.
