The IP Academy is the education and training arm of the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS). IPOS is a statutory board under the Ministry of Law. IP Academy is a leading centre for excellence in IP education, and its mission is to grow a vibrant network of skilled IP professionals and users through quality education.
Jointly organised by the IP Academy and the Ministry of Trade and Industry Singapore, in conjunction with IP Week 2018, this seminar aims to give participants a bird’s eye view of how international trade has affected national IP laws and policies, and vice versa. Participants will also walk away with practical tips on trade negotiations, as our distinguished panel of speakers share and discuss on the following IP and trade related issues:
– Policy implications of trade competitiveness and IP
– Keys issues of IP in international trade negotiations and how will ASEAN benefit from negotiating as a bloc on these issues?
– Practical considerations in negotiating IP provisions in trade agreements
