Each cyberattack undermines the integrity of the organisation and the economy at large with serious consequences. How can organisations keep up with the protection of critical information infrastructure and how can the government agencies assist the private sector strengthen their networks?\n\nPROGRAMME\nThis panel debate brought together thought leaders from the government sector\, industry\, and academic realm to critically analyse the current cyber security infrastructure in place and provide an assessment on the cyber threat environment including the weak signals and threats faced by financial services institutions. \n    \n  \n  \nABOUT THE SPEAKERS \n   MARK VAN STAALDUINEN\n \nINNOVATION MANAGER & DEPUTY DIRECTOR\, TNO SINGAPORE\nDr. Mark van Staalduinen is an innovation manager and deputy director at TNO Singapore and focusses on dark web\, blockchain security and cybercrime. Furthermore\, he works as a seconded cybercrime expert to INTERPOL Global Complex for Innovation as his main interest lies in the understanding of cybercrime innovation. Mark received his master’s degree in electrical engineering from Delft University of Technology (DUT) in 2003 and joined TNO in 2007. He received his doctorate from DUT’s Department of Information and Communication Theory in 2010. \n  \n   LIM THIAN CHIN \nHEAD OF CRITICAL INFORMATION INFRASTRUCTURE PROTECTION\, CYBER SECURITY AGENCY SINGAPORE\nLim Thian Chin is currently the head of Critical Information Infrastructure Protection at the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore. Thian Chin has over 16 years of experience in information & technology governance\, risk management\, resilience and compliance\, and operational technology cybersecurity. He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from the Nanyang Technological University and is an alumnus of the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies. \n  \n   DEBIN GAO \nASSOCIATE PROFESSOR\, SCHOOL OF INFORMATION SYSTEMS\, SINGAPORE MANAGEMENT UNIVERSITY\nProfessor Debin Gao is an associate professor from the School of Information Systems\, Singapore Management University where his research focusses on software and systems security. In recent years\, Debin also participated in the research of mobile security\, cloud security\, and human factors in security. One of his papers was presented the Best Paper Award in Network & Distributed System Security Symposium in 2013 and he is also the recipient of the Lee Kong Chian Fellowship in the year 2017. Debin obtained his doctorate from Carnegie Mellon University.
