SUMMARY:Regional Finance & Tax Committee Meeting
DESCRIPTION:An Analysis of the Singapore Budget 2017 \n \n \nOn the 13th of March\, the Regional Finance & Tax Committee will meet to discuss and analysis this year’s budget. 2016 was a turbulent year for the international community\, which will now result in 2017 being a year of uncertainty. This year also marks the end of the Productivity and Innovation Credit (PIC) Scheme\, which was a broad government incentive program that was essential to many SMEs. There has been speculation that the Government will compensate for the lost scheme and the protectionist stance of many western economies by introducing tax incentives for companies that grow their international presence. All of these issues and many more will be discussed at the meeting.\n \n \n \nGuest Speakers:\n \n \n \nMr Rohan Solapurkar\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \nRohan Solapurkar is a Tax Partner based in Deloitte Singapore office. He has more than 20 years of experience in International Tax. \n \n \nRohan has been advising  large multinational companies on their tax strategies including tax minimisation strategies\, cash repatriation strategies\, entry strategies\, etc in Singapore and the region.   Rohan’s clients include a diverse range of companies in different sectors such as IT\, Hospitality\, Real Estate\, Infrastructure and Media. \n \n \nMs Elaine Ng \n \n \n \n \n \nElaine is a Tax Partner at PwC and has been with the firm for over 20 years. Elaine heads the Corporate Tax Group and leads the Transport & Logistics Industry Tax Group.
