DESCRIPTION:  \n \nEuroCham visit to IHRP \nSingapore is innovating to support the new world of work. So it is a must for you to know what Singapore is doing in the field of HR professionalization and talent support. \nThe Institute for Human Resource Professionals (IHRP) is the HR professional body\, set up in 2016 by the tripartite partners: the Ministry of Manpower (MOM)\, the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) and Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF). \nWe will be welcomed by Mr Mayank Parekh\, CEO of IHRP and his team in the new space set up for talent and HR — the Lifelong Learning Institute\, and the role of universities and tripartite partners in Singapore’s skills future framework. \nThis is your chance to get up to date on developments\, to dialogue about strategic workforce issues and and to understand Singapore’s HR certification system — why they are doing it\, who it is for and how is works. \n \nMr MAYANK PAREKH\nCEO\, IHRP \nMayank has over 20 years of experience in regional\, global HR and general management roles. He was the Senior Director\, HR Operations APAC for Qiagen\, a German MNC in Singapore before joining Institute for Human Resource Professionals (IHRP) as CEO in June 2017. Prior to Qiagen\, he was with Merial\, the animal health division of Sanofi for 13 years from 2001 to 2014. Mayank started out as a Senior Director\, Asia Pacific\, he became HR Leader for Global Business Operations based in U.S.A in August 2005 with responsibilities to deliver HR services to Merial businesses in 27 countries involving 2\,000 employees. He was appointed Country Manager\, India in July 2008 with overall P/L responsibility of Merial operations in India comprising 250 employees. \nLooking forward to seeing you there. SUMMARY:EuroCham hosts visiting Lao PDR Delegation
DESCRIPTION:  \n  \nEuroCham hosted the Laos Ministry of Finance on a working visit organised by EuroCham Laos and the EU Delegation to Lao PDR. \nLed by Mr Bryan Fornari\, Head of Cooperation at the EU Delegation to Lao PDR and Mr Jack Sheehan\, Vice President of EuroCham Laos and Chairman of the Tax committee\, the delegation from the Lao Ministry of Finance headed by Director-General Mr Phouthanouphet Saysombath were on a working visit to learn about the engagements between EuroCham Singapore and the Singapore government agencies in matters relating to regional tax\, finance\, and budget. The meeting also discussed how the Singapore government organises consultation and engagement sessions with industry to provide legislative updates so companies can stay abreast of the latest developments. \nThis includes briefing sessions with guest speakers from the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS)\, Economic Development Board (EDB)\, as well as the Ministry of Finance annual call for feedback to the public on the Singapore Budget. Past topics that were presented included Singapore’s BEPS Action 5 Framework and the IP Development Incentives\, and transfer pricing developments. Member companies are also active in sharing with the committee special topics such as tax developments in the neighbouring countries such as GST implementation in Malaysia. \nCo-organised by: \n \n  \n  \n
