SUMMARY:ESSEC Roundtable: Innovative Disruption and Value Creation of Fintech: Opportunities and Challenges for Financial Institutions?
DESCRIPTION:A few years ago\, several apparently modest start-ups started offering consumers limited online lending or retail-payment services. Known as fintechs\, they operated at the margin of the financial sector and didn’t directly threaten established financial-services companies. Their business models are underpinned by a better use of data and frictionless customer experience. So\, to what extent are fintechs creating value?  How can traditional financial institutions react to this new environment?  What could disrupt fintech innovators’ road to success?
